Doug Sitton, President
Sitton Construction Group
Doug Sitton is President of Sitton Construction Group, LLC, and has over 30 years of diversified experience in the design and construction industry. Sitton has a strong background in construction management and business management, overseeing over 500 new construction and renovation projects, $1 billion dollars in construction, and individual projects from under $100,000 to over $50,000,000. He has experience in assisting clients with selecting and managing several different project delivery methods.
Sitton has experience serving multiple markets, including state government, counties, municipalities, higher education and K-12 school districts, private companies and developers. His work includes both facilities and infrastructure projects.
Prior to founding Sitton Construction Group, he worked for an ENR Top 100 Engineering, Architecture, Planning (EAP) firm, starting as a Group Manager, advancing through various positions to serve as Partner, and ultimately assuming the role of Senior Vice President, in which capacity he was responsible for the firm’s facilities design, construction and management services. In each assignment, Sitton's focus was on continuous performance improvement and growth. He also served on several internal committees helping to guide the firm’s development and growth, among them the Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and the Technology Advisory Committee. He has also served as a peer reviewer for the American Council of Engineering Companies' (ACEC) Peer Review Program.
Sitton is registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois and Missouri, and also a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Illinois. He belongs to the Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA) of St. Louis as a board member, the Leadership Council of Southwestern Illinois in St. Louis Metro East as a past president and current Executive Committee Member, and the Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce as a past president.

- The Illinois Association of School Boards Annual Conference in November 1999, on the topic “Pound Wise School Design and Construction”
- The Illinois ASBO Professional Development Program (coming soon: November 6, 2009), on the topic of “The Owner’s Role in Delivering Construction Successfully, Regardless of the Delivery Method”

Mr. Sitton is registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois and Missouri. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
