SITTON CONSTRUCTION GROUP SELECTED TO OVERSEE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW $13 MILLION FACILITY FOR “THE CENTER”
BELLEVILLE, Ill., January 7, 2008 … Sitton Construction Group today announced that its construction management firm has been selected by the Comprehensive Mental Health Center of St. Clair County (The Center) to oversee the construction of its new, $13 million behavioral health care facility. The new site will be erected on an expansive 73,000 square-foot campus at 8th Street and Trendley Avenue in East St. Louis, Ill., and will facilitate the consolidation of all of The Center’s programs and services, with the exception of its residential facilities, into one location.
“The Center is a well-respected agency that has deep roots in the City of East St. Louis - most recently having celebrated its 50th year of service,” stated Doug Sitton, president of Belleville-based Sitton Construction Group who has overseen more than 500 design and construction projects to date. “We are delighted to be able to serve The Center by helping it get the most for its capital improvement dollars and enabling its staff to dedicate their time, talents and savings to doing what they do best - developing and implementing life-changing programs and services.”
Sitton Construction Group will serve as an independent agent of the owner, representing The Center throughout construction by overseeing the work of the design/build construction team. Construction commenced in mid-December and is scheduled to be completed by the spring of 2009.
